Interview With James Kinneson
What inspired you to podcast?
I had a friend who showed me his iPod. He talked about starting a show called a Podcast. I started listening to WOW podcasts and the guys from The Weekly Murloc really inspired me along with Scott Johnson from ExtraLife Radio. I was looking for something more productive to do with my time… so I quit playing WOW and started podcasting.
As for the topic of Nobody’s Listening. David, my brother, and I were always telling folks stories from our childhood… we didn’t know if anyone that didn’t know us would find it funny or not… but we decided to start a show where we told our funny life stories and invited others to do the same.
What is your favorite geeky activity?
I like working on my websites, improving the podcasts, playing video games and creating stupid songs.
What is your favorite movie?
High School Musical. It’s the perfect film. It’s a musical, targeting tweens… and it was wildly successful. Love it.
What is your favorite artist or band?
I’m the type that get’s more into genre or particular songs… so I like Disney Pop music style stuff (Hannah Montanna, Jonas Bros, Ally & AJ, Jump 5, PureNRG), Asian Pop, a couple of old Brittney songs, a couple from Paramore, a couple from Kelly Clarkson, the Aqua Bats and most 80’s pop.
What is your favorite Video Game?
Currently Batman: Arkham Asylum.
What is your favorite Star Wars episode?
Four. It’s the first!
What is yur motivation for getting up in the mornings.
It’s another day to spend with the kids I love and the computer I love.
Kids have any bad habits? Enthrall us.
The boy likes to hit when he get’s things taken away. We’re working on that. The girl doesn’t like to eat new things. It’s a huge pain… but she’s getting better.
